Staying Fit On The Job

Staying fit can be a challenge for anyone, but working girls need to be especially stealth at finding creative ways to stay in shape. In spite of your busy schedules, here are a few tips on making the most of your workday—whether you make it to the gym or not.
Take The Stairs
It may seem like a minor change, but alter your mindset (and your routine) and choose the stairwell over the elevator. Work on the 36th Floor? Just be sure you leave your desk at least once a day and stroll up and down a few flights.
Plan Ahead
It’s doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that planning meals will probably encourage us eat healthier than if left to the desires of our hungry stomachs. Prepare a healthy lunch ahead of time, and stock up on nutritional snacks at the office. Now, your “go-to fixit snack” is raw almonds and carrots instead of milk chocolate bars or potato chips. We’re not perfect, but we can be smart.
Crunch it at Lunch
If you have the luxury of peeling yourself away from your computer at lunch, hit the gym for 20 or 30 minutes. If you don’t want to go for a full-on run/shower combo, opt for a low-key stint on the elliptical, or even a power walk. Grab lunch on your way back to the office and eat while you work.
**Extra!
Use the 20 seconds that your coffee is brewing to sneak a few standing push ups at the counter. Stand at a slight diagonal with arms stretched out in front of you. Then simply press your body forward and back for 20 seconds. Your coffee will be brewed in no time.
Remember that every little bit counts!
